Soap: Stirling Wintergreen
Razor: Rolls Razor
Brush: Omega boar
Aftershave: Osage Rub
Balm: Nivea Sensitive

Some improvement in the blade after taking it to the stones yesterday, but I feel like it can still do a little better. Going to keep the edge as is for a while to see if it's technique related and not the edge itself. Just felt slightly tuggy on the chin. Tempted fate with an ATG pass, and got no irritation/weepers, which royally surprised me. I've had marginal luck with doing that with DE.

All in all though pretty happy with how the shave turned out. I felt like I had to push it a little on the chin, but was able to without consequence. Not going to bet on that in the future though. I've paid the price for that in the past.

Finally tried the Stirling Wintergreen sample my dad gave me. Gotta say, Stirling nailed this one!

9/10.

Prep : warm shower / Bulldog original face wash
Pre shave : Proraso white
Brush : Proraso boar by Omega
Cream : Proraso white in a tube
Razor : Merkur 34 C
Blade : Asco Super stainless (0)
Post : alum block and then Proraso White after shave balm

An all Proraso white shave, after Sunday debacle it was time for redemption. 3 pass shave with a new to me blade. I shacked things up, I always have issue with my throat area so decided to shave this first then shin and finally cheeks. 1st pass, no nick, 2nd pass 1 nick, 3rd pass (I got cocky I guess) was the one too many, a couple of nicks in the usual place. All in all, I will need to repeat this with 2 pass only, some mild irritation on the chicks for an hour or so, nice close shave though I’ll give it a 7 out of 10, thinking and trying to progress with each shave

Okay Ron, now you’ve got me really confused. I know about 1924 Shovelheads, but never heard of a Sledge Hammer. I have two of what I call a Shovelhead, how do I tell if maybe I actually have a Sledge Hammer?
GOT me, I had to go back and change most of my posts to shovel head ( I missed a few posts- timed out), and I also had DE SOTD and that was also from being half a sleep. Good to know you fellows like reading this stuff! :001_smile & heads up errors!

Tabac Tuesday late morning shave, 9/10, not quite perfect, but very good:

Pre-shave: shower

Blade: Proline P-30 (4)
Brush: Vulfix 375 Silvertip- cloudlike softness, blooming nicely, whipped up a fine lather
Soap: Tabac stick- a classic for good reason
Post-shave: cold rinse, alum, rinse, Captain's Choice Venture AS

Have a great day!

Tabac Tuesday
To me Tabac gives one of the best lather you can get. The Omega boar worked it like a boss. Sadly the Astra sp wasnt that smooth on the neck today, think I got a bit irritated even if it's not red. I realize these Astra sp are not consistent. Might select another blade for March Fixed Four.

I know you are not supposed to use the same brush 2 days in a row, but I did anyway.

Brush: Simpson’s T3 Super, still can not believe this brush sells for $278 US on Simpson’s
it is good but not almost $300 worth of good. I just ordered a custom made
Morris & Forndran that I have to wait for, for up to 3 months and it was $270.00

Blade: Personna Med Prep (1)

Soap: PdP No. 63

Razor: Timeless Ti SB .95, just love this razor

Bowl: Captains Large Copper Bowl

Post Shave: PdP No. 63 Balm & Cologne

Guess I will have to start giving myself 9.5/10 so I have somewhere to go.

Here is today’s shaving gear and a picture of the brush I ordered.

Soap Catie's Bubbles Le Piment DE La Vie
Brush Yaqi 24mm Arctic Sky Deep Blue Handle
Razor RR G37 Slant
Blade KAI 2nd (Mysterious KAI Blade PIF Participation)
Post & Aftershaves Ice Water + Thayers + Hyaluronic + Aqua Velva Ice Blue
Beautifully crafted soap! The scent is superb, the lather is creamy and slick. Really love this soap.
Shave with razor paired with the blade was much better than the GC 0.84-P. Amazing! Very smooth and comfortable during the 3passes without any issues at all for a glass-like result. A very close shave. Rating 10/10!!!

Vintage feather razor
Gillette minora pink wrapped blade (2)
AOS Sandalwood pre shave
AOS Oud shaving cream
Acne face wash then blackhead scrub
Cold rinse, alum block
Cold rinse, Proraso green aftershave

overall 9/10 DFS+

feather shaves pretty mild so it can be annoying to cut down those pesky chin whiskers. And I love the minty coolness of the Proraso green aftershave, just gotta be careful not to over dose it haha.
