Pre Shave: Warm Shower, Glycerin Soap face wash
Razor: Brass Karve SB B Plate
Blade: Polsilver
Brush: Zenith Manchurian 506A
Soap: Stirling Barbershop
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse, Nivea Sensitive Post Shave Balm, Proraso Red AS
Rating: 9/10 Was a very close two pass shave, but had irritation on chin.

This is the same set up I have used for three days. I changed the blade back to a Personna Red to see what happens tomorrow. As I recall I didn't get along well with Polsilvers when I tried them before which is a shame as they are a sharp blade and smooth.

A better shave today with the FOCS, BBS in places and DFS everywhere else. I used a steeper angle than before and that improved the comfort of the shave. I was careful with blade alignment and today both sides felt about the same efficiency. The FOCS still doesn't shave as close as the Blackbird but I'll
keep going with it for a while longer as it's a great razor.

Today's razor, cream, and blade combo was incomparable!

48-hour beard

Fatip Open Comb Slant razor ("FOCS") w/ Personna Red blade (3)

Palmolive Classic Green cream in the metal tube (a little La Toja soap as a pre-shave)

Semogue boar brush, then APShaveCo synthetic tuxedo

Clubman SR aftershave, Assured lotion, Clubman powder

No shower today, so I did the wash face/apply hot wet towel routine over some La Toja stick soap. I applied the Palmolive to my hands and rubbed it into the beard; it didn't *lather*, exactly, but it did build up. For some reason the boar brush disappointed me -- though soaked and squeezed out, it did not really lather the cream the way I expected until I put a smidgen more of the cream onto the brush itself.

After my three minutes, then, I applied the Fatip. Smooth; I hardly felt the blade at all. After the first WTG pass, I ditched the boar, wet and squeezed out the APShaveCo synth, and whipped up a little more cream onto my face and throat for a much thicker lather. ATG pass, then XTG on throat plus cleanup. Vanishingly close to BBS, no irritation or nicks. Verdict: 9.8!

9.5 BBS Incredible shave with this cream! A small dollop yielded a nice smooth and slick lather; tomorrow I will add a tad more water as the cream dried out quickly. Virtually no stubble, and no weepers, but I have to penalize myself for one clumsiness weeper on the upper chin below the lip.

An excellent shave using a Maggards 28mm syn brush along with PAA's Big Shave S'West soap. The razor today was a Timeless SS SB .68 loaded with a Personna Lab blade. The aftershave was Thayers plus Neutrogena. The fragrance was TOBS Sandalwood. A perfect 10 shave.
