7/10. User error can’t blame the equipment. I’ve been working on getting my technique down on a little trouble spot under my chin. Today I went a little too hard against the grain and paid the price. Very flat hair in a little concave spot. Note to self. Don’t do that again!

Fatip Piccolo Mk1
Elios Inox (1)
Omega 49 Pro boar brush facelathering
365 Glycerin soap pre-shave
Fine Green Vetiver soap
Dickinson's WH + rose water + aloe vera gel
Proraso White balm

Smooth, very close shave; Accidental BBS

Notes:
  • Trying out the Elios Inox blades for the Participation PIF; Fresh blade in the Piccolo today; no complaints at all.
  • Fine soap seems to be improving with daily use over the last week. Mr. Fine's picture still shows on the soap puck after 15 shaves or so. This soap is going to last a long time.

Razor: Razorock GC.84
Blade: Derby Premium Black (2)
Brush: DS Cosmetics acrylic handle with a High Mountain White Badger.
Lather: Captains Choice Sandalwood
Aftershave: Captains Choice Sandalwood Balm
Additional Care: Razorock Alumn
Rating: 8.5

3 pass WTG, XTG, ATG. BBS
2nd shave with the Derby premium. Not as smooth a shaver as my Nacets but overall a great shave.

My new favourite set up:

New Feather Blade
Timeless Polished SS 0.68 OC Razor
SV Felce Soap
Simpson Chubby 1 Super Badger

No pre-shave oil, no after shave balm, no problem! A quick two pass, close comfortable shave.

Went back to basics in my under chin trouble spot battle and got better results. Fewer passes. More targeted to grain direction. No pressure at all. Fresh lather for every swipe. Simples. Not quite there but on the right track now.

9.5 out of 10. A two pass is no three pass but I may move in this direction for my daily driver.
