Tuesday, January 14

- Hot shower first
- Proraso White Pre-shave cream
- Tabac (first time), bowl lathered with Simpson Berkeley
- Mühle R41 (my favorite razor)
- Polsilver Super Iridium (first time)
- Warm water between WTG and XTG passes
- Cold water rinse to finish
- Topped off with Cella aftershave

Rating: 7/10

Thoughts:
The Tabac lathered up wonderfully, but I'll have to acclimate to the aroma. No compliments from NicksMom today, even though Cella was the dominant scent. The Polsilver blade was just fine, but won't displace Feather as my top blade as it wasn't quite sharp enough for my two-pass shave. I'll see how it does on a second use tomorrow.

Today's shave:

Razor: Gillette Old Type
Blade: Gillette Wilkinson Sword (3)
Soap: Mike's Orange, Cedarwood & Black Pepper
Brush: Omega 10290 Boar
AS: Speick AS

Rating: 9/10

Im thinking on getting that scent as a shave soap or a bar soap. How strong is it as i have dry skin but would love the scent

It's moderately strong to me. Not the strongest scent i've smelt but my tub was not new when i got it. It's a funny scent though, i don't pick up the sandalwood much. It's a gourmand to my nose and smells like an almond croissant, which i love, but am not always in the mood for due to the sweetness.

Today’s shave:
Soap: La Toja stick
Brush: Simpsons Wee Scot
Razor: Lord L6
Blade: GSB (4)
AS: Floid vigoroso

Rating: 9/10

Proraso menthol shaving cream, simpson brush, and a merkur progress blade with an Astra blade, I used setting 3 on the first pass, and went all the way to 1 on the second.

8/10, would be higher but I did nick myself in a few areas.

I honestly think the progress is the best Razor I've ever used, it's all I've been using for the past few months :biggrin1:

7/10

Gillette 85 adjust, Feather blade, Ferdinand Synthitic brush, Shavebowl.com bowls, and Men's Moisturizing Cream.

Had the level on 3-4 (4 on second pass) and was only upper as my technique was of but no nicks art all (or any noticeable ones).

Interesting! I'll look into buying their sample and hope it's to my liking!

Just received this so decided to give it a run out ... lovely subtle scent and very easy to load and lather.

3 pass shave and whilst not the densest lather it provided superb protection and was very slick. Ended with a BBS with no irritation etc

Immediate post shave feel was good but IMO not as good as A&E BUT once I applied the balm that changed and my skin is silky smooth !

No idea what they put in the balm but for skin feel it is right up there with my favourite MDC and far easier to apply.
