8th and final shave with this combo razor and blade. Every shave has been excellent. At one time I thought I would sell the razor but when I switched to a Feather blade in it, I changed my mind. I am glad I kept it.

Pre: Hot Shower
Razor: 1966 Gillette Slim
Blade: Feather
Brush: Omega Boar
Soap: Stirling Executive Man
Post: Stirling Executive Man Splash

Was very impressed with my first shave with a slim and spoiler yesterday so decided to keep most variables the same but wanted to try the slim with a feather….. and WOW!!! The feather gives the slim an edge of efficiency above the spoiler. I kept the dial on 7 for the entire shave and I was just amazed at how smooth and efficient this razor was. Didn’t feel a need to go any higher.

Prep - Hot Shower
Pre - Village Barber Pre Shave Oil

Been a few days, but here is what I used today:

Razor: Gillette Slim Adjustable (setting 5 for WTG, XTG, ATG. setting 7 for fourth pass and clean up)
Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (5)
Brush: Omega 10049 Pro Boar
Pre: Proraso Green Pre-shave Cream
Soap: RazoRock Green Label Puck
Post: Floid Black and Proraso Blue Blam
Beard: Proraso Cypress and Vetyver Balm

Rating: 9.5/10 - got an almost BBS shave and the blade felt good for the fifth shave. The soap has a wonderful scent to my nose and the Floid Black may have become one of my favorite scents for an after-shave. Overall, just a wonderful relaxing shave.

Razor: 1924 EverReady Single Edge
Blade-GEM PTFE blade 2nd use
Soap-Hendrix Classics & Co. Classic Barbershop
Preshave oil I got from Hendrix Classics & Co.
Brush-Yaqi 24mm Synthetic

Rating: 9 out of 10. With GEM type razors I have to go easy and take my time, too easy to get nicked. Very nice shave though. 🇺🇸💈🇺🇸💈

Razor: Merkur progress
Blade: Bluebeards revenge "Scimitar" (basically Israeli Personna I guess)
Brush: Slammer Gear synthetic (in the picture)
Pre-shave: Prospectors pre shave oil

Soap: Moon Soaps Union Soap
After shaving: I used an alum pen and Arko Cool after shave cream

I forgot to adjust the razor properly. I always shave at the "1" setting, the mildest. I thought I had it set on 1, but I actually had left a complete 360° unscrewed, meaning it was very aggressive. I checked after the first pass because it felt so rough and I got some cuts. Second pass was without trouble.

Thanks to the excellent soap and the alum pen my nicks are under control, and I think the after shave works fine as well. Products were 8/10 but myself I rate 5/10.
