Brush: Simpson’s Duke 2 best
Razor: Wolfman WR1
Blade: Nacet (4)

Rating: 9.5/10

Razor: Gillette 1970 P3 Super Adjustable 109
Blade: Astra Superior Platinum
Brush: Rubberset 203 in Super Badger
Pre-Shave: Proraso Red
Lather: Long Rifle Brown Bess
Aftershave: Pinaud Brandy Spice
Additional Care:

Razor: Baili BT-131
Blade: Baili Platinum Super Stainless
Brush: Omega 10049 Boar
Pre: Proraso Green
Soap: William Mug Shaving Soap
After: Aqua Velva Classic Ice Blue

Rating: 9.5/10 - It was a strange shave. I don't like that Baili blade, it felt rough and not smooth, but it gave an almost BBS shave after three passes (WTG,XTG,ATG) and a clean up. Had a normal burn with the Aqua Velva, so it didn't rake the skin too bad. No irritation after the shave also. Overall a great results, but confusing shave for me.

Well it arrived - the much anticipated Homelike Start razor kit ....

Loaded with a new Gillette Platinum and thought I'd best start with the 0.69 .... mild is an understatement and TBH I knew straight away it wasn't going to perform as well as the Karve "B" so I swopped for two passes to the 0.90.

Despite my fears that the 0.90 was going to be too much I found that it was very very smooth and the resulting shave was easily as close as the Karve but - dare I say it - slightly smoother. No irritation or nicks even using aftershave which I don't normally do.

I love the weight of the razor and the enclosed ends ... it did seem bigger to move around the face but suspect this will just be me being new to it.

I'll reserve judgement and see what tomorrow brings using the 0.90 for the whole shave
