Shave 20190909:

Prep: Wash face with Noxzema
Pre-shave: Cremo
Brush: RazoRock F-400 Synthetic
Soap: Tabac + a dollop of Cremo in the scuttle
Scuttle: Savanna Shaving
Razor: Gillette RFB, 3-piece Long Comb NEW style
Blade: Personna Med Prep (3)
Post-shave: Gentleman Jon Alum followed by Thayers Witch Hazel with Aloe
After Shave Balm: Original Stetson AS Balm with Aloe + a few drops of Sesame Body Oil
Cologne: Original Stetson

9+/10

Shaved WTG and XTG (plus two additional XTG opposing diagonal passes on my jawline and neck).

First shave with the Gillette RFB, 3-piece Long Comb NEW style. A lot milder than I expected. Nice close and smooth shave.

One thing for sure, there are some incredibly good vintage Gillette razors out there.

As always, YMMV.

Prep: Wash face with soap and rinse. Pre-lather some shaving cream and leave it on for 1'. Rinse with hot water. Face lather.
Soap: Declaration Grooming Fourth & Pine
Brush: Shavemac 167 D01 2-band
Razor: Razorock Gamechanger .84-P
Blade: Personna Lab Blue (1)
AS: Korres AS balm

Rating: 2/10

Bad shave today. After yesterday's results, I decided to use the Shavemac again, this time for face lathering and I ended up with brush burn (I felt irritation even before the blade touched the skin). No prickliness, but too much scrub. 1-pass WTG to reduce the growth a bit and some balm to soothe the skin.

Early AM shave
Prep: several splashes of warm water and GD Lavender Bouquet Pre-Shave
Brush: Super Plush Synth
Soap: MdC Fougère
Razor: Feather AS-D2
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (2nd shave)
AS: Thayer's Lavender WH + Facial Oil blend

10/10. Only items I have interest in changing for home shaves are the flavors of MdC and WH. I think my face slightly prefers GSBs to Feathers.

9/10 - Was in a hurry this morning and had a couple of weepers. Hope everyone has a great day!

Thought I'd try a Polisilver blade .... after the first pass I had to check there was a blade in !! So bad I swapped 1/2 way through back to a Feather .... hence the less than steller result as I didn't want to risk irritation

I'm not sure if Polisilver do different blades but it didn't seem sharp at all in the AS D2

Thought I'd have a little fun with Stick Schick L type with a Twin II blade and see what it could do on shave #22. It did not disappoint at all and gave a close fun shave after a failed trial gap adjustment on my auto strop c1 razor in the morning, so auto strop razor was abandoned for my trusty stick Schick.
Razor: Stick Schick L type MFG 1973
Blade : Schick Twin II (22)
Soap: Razorock XXX

Post shave: Alum block + cold water rinse
Post shave: Razorock XXX AS+ Nivea balm
Results: 9/10 or CCS,DFS,BBS + alum block indicated more than usual irritation from Auto strop razor gap adjustment trial= :a12:

This was my first shave with the RazoRock GameChanger Open Comb. I have to say that this thing lives up to all the hype. One of the best shaves I've had all year. There was very little feedback from the alum. Not a single weeper. I sure hope I can keep this up. It may replace my New Deluxe as my favorite razor.

The FaTip Piccolo SE OC did not disappoint. Really efficient, close and smooth. Did my usual WTG, ATG, XTG and then one pass diagonally between ATG and XTG in each direction on my neck. It's the only way I can get the stubble that grows on my neck.

Highly recommended, in my opinion.

YMMV

Soap: Declaration Grooming Fourth & Pine
Brush: Muhle STF XL
Razor: Razorock Gamechanger Jaws
Blade: Personna Lab Blue (2)

Rating: 9.5/10

The Jaws came in today along with the OC version of the .84 GC and I couldn't resist using the former. Today's shave was the complete opposite of yesterday's one. Comfortable and super close shave without any irritation. The Jaws offers some blade feel which I like. Good pairing with the Lab Blue for my face. Half a point taken because I need to familiarize myself more with the razor and maximize comfort.
