MWF was great, but the MMOC was a let-down today. I've been using R41 and Karve OC E plate recently and they've been cutting closer. Could be the PTFE blade was dulling a bit. I'll repeat the shave with a sharp blade. It was just not BBS and I can get that in the same number of strokes with the R41 and Karve.
Timeless Bronze OC .78 with Koshelev titanium handle. New Nacet blade. One of the closest shaves ever, and no irritation. Must be pretty close to a 10, at least 9. Better than I'm getting with my MMOC.
Trying out Nanny's Silly Soaps Moroccan Sands and liking it.
To commemorate this day i history 1944, when the British Eighth Army captured Foligno and Spoleto, in Italy, I had to do a little ”Army inspired shave”, with my trusty Gillette army kit
Warm Shower
Proraso Green Pre shave cream
Tabac soap
Gillette Army razor, Tech I believe
Put a Voskhod blade in, since the Blue blades are ok, but tugs a little...

Todays shave
Prep: Warm Shower
Brush: Muhle Stylo Synthetic Black
Soap: MDC Original
Razor: Rockwell 6S, plate 3
Blade: Astra green SP first use
AS: La Toja ( w/added Menthol) + Proraso Green
Rating: Back to 10/10, Fantastic shave!
I have begun using the Proraso Exfoliating Paste every evening (followed by Proraso green AS), and that makes for such nice problem free shaves next morning!
Prep: Proraso Green Pre-Shave
Brush: Supply synthetic
Soap: Proraso Green
Razor: Rex Ambassador, set on 2.9
Blade: Feather (3)
Post: Thayers WH followed by Pinaud Lilac Vegetal
This is probably the best shave I have had thus far with a DE Razor. This is my first Feather blade and the first shave was not so good, partly because I had dialed down the Rex in respect for the reputation of the blade. Yesterday's shave was nice and close but with mild irritation on setting 3, so today I dialed it down a smidge. I see why these blades are so popular!
Pre-shave: Grooming Dept
Shaving soap: Art of Shaving Sandalwood
Brush: Sterling Synthetic (green)
Blade: Gillette Nacet (2nd use)
Razor: Global Shave Club - ICE
Aftershave Balm: Sterling Sandpiper
Rating: 9/10
I received the gold ICE razor from Global Shave Club today (thank you, Sheldon) and couldn't wait to use it. It's got great heft and length of handle. It is marketed to be a little more aggressive than Merkur 34c, and it was, but still very smooth and efficient. It is a beautiful razor and will be a permanent piece in my rotation.
Prep: Warm water on face
Brush: Razorock Plissoft
Soap: Van Der Hagen Deluxe
Razor: Razorock SLOC
Blade: Gillette Wilkinson Sword, first use
Aftershave: Nivea Sensitive Balm with extra witch hazel thrown in there.
The reason it was weird? I've used the Gillette Wilkinsons for about a month and a half now. Each one of them has been smooth out of the package. This one... not so much. Seemed like it tugged more throughout the whole shave. Maybe the consistency of the lather was different, I don't know. Either way, it wasn't a bad shave but not as nice feeling as typical.
