Great late-morning shave, but the highlight was when my 21 year old son, home from college for the weekend, came into the bathroom and asked me to show him how to shave with traditional gear. Of course, I was happy to....more excited than I let on, truth be told. Our respective shaves:

Three pass shave. WTG , ATG, XTG. Elected to pass on the multiple XTG, angled XTG/ATG, touch-up and buffing.

CCS with two small weepers (under my chin and under my nose). Zero irritation.

WOW - this soap / razor combination just gets better and better.

First time using a Gillette Silver Blue and will have to do a few more shaves to see if I like this better than the Platinum.

Fantastic post shave which just felt super smooth and clean - unlike the Schapenmelk yesterday which felt the same super smooth but somehow felt heavy - if that makes sense.

Remembrance day on a MMMonday morning -20 C, so I choose a few razors that soldiers would of used during World War 1&2.
Not sure they would of shaved every day but at certain events they had to shave by military dress code I believe.

Razors : Everready 1914 + Gem MMCP 1945 Peerless model.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (1)
Brush: Omega boar
Soap: Williams mug
Preshave: Brush wash the face with CeraVe hand bar soap + a dollop of Aloe Vera on beard
Post shave: Alum + cold water rinse
Post shave : Pinaud Clubman with witch hazel + Nivea balm
Results : 9.5/10 or CCS,DFS,BBs + alum indicated minor irritation + 2 blemish weepers =

Another run out with the Schapenmelk and I must admit the protection and glide is good but the post shave is excellent ! Now I'm not overly familiar with tallow / lanolin soaps so don't know if this is the factor or if the soap punches above its price point. Skin feels super smooth and didn't really need a balm but thought I would use the Bart's just as added skin protection.

Used the Fatboy with a new Gillette Silver Blue ... these are very very smooth but I'm getting the feeling that in both this and the Karve they aren't quite as sharp / close shaving as the Gillette Platinum -great result though just had to work a bit more on chin touchups etc.

The Guv'nor badger ... not a patch on the Zenith synthetic with zero backbone and very floppy.

SOTD Nov 12-2019 - I'm still enjoying my Enders speed shaver with the blade carrier and complimented with a Schick pro line in the seat of the carrier.

Blade : Schick pro line B-20 with a Enders blade carrier.
Soap : Proraso red Sandal wood
Brush : Yaqi tuxedo knot 24mm+
Preshave : Brush wash the face with CeraVe hand bar soap + a dollop of Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
Post shave: Dickinson's witch hazel
Post shave: Proraso red sandal wood with witch hazel + Nivea balm
Results :8.5/10 or CCS,DFS,BBS+ Aftershave indicated no irritation + no weepers =
