SOTD 10/24/19

Preshave: Semi-hot water face splash
Soap: MDC Vetyver
Brush: Chubby2
Razor: Timeless Bronze OC
Blade: Gillette 7'Oclock
Aftershave: Dior Eau Sauvage

My Rating: 9/10 Comfortable 3 pass shave but not the best. My thoughts is this aggressive razor head doesn't pair well with this blade for me, 3rd pass wasn't as smooth as with a GSB blade.

Razor: Global Shave Club Black Tiger
Blade: Gillette 7o'clock Super Stainless Steel (4)
Brush: Cremo by Vie Long
Pre-shave: Prep
Soap: Williams Mug Shaving Soap
After-shave: Aqua Velva Classic Blue Ice

Rating: 9/10 - It was a good shave today. I tired out the Black Tiger from Global Shave Club, and it was a mild razor modeled after a Tech. After four passes I ended up with a DFS, no irritation, and had a good time shaving.

GEM PTFE (2)
Mike's Bay Rum
Vie-Long BGS2012 Butterscotch Beehive Natural Horse
Skin Bracer

Van Der Hagen Luxury as a preshave soap
C&E Almond shave soap
Vintage Ever-Ready boar brush
Bic #2 sensitive disposable
Pacific Shave Company Caffeine aftershave balm
rosewater spray (as a toner)
Biofresh Royal Rose aftershave balm

7/10... reasonably close 2 pass shave, and the shave soap wasn't as luxurious as some lathers I have used, but it was still very good, with only a little irritation. However, I think the soap is harsh and drying (most old-fashioned tallow soaps are) and it's good I went with the rosewater toner and balm, because the Pacific Shave Company caffeine balm didn't calm my skin enough after using the soap. But the rosewater worked some magic.

I like that... a classic Williams setup (Ice Blue is a Williams/Combe product).

Shave 20191024

Prep: Wash face with Neutrogena + Glycerin mix
Pre-shave: Cremo
Brush: AP Shave Co Tuxedo
Soap: Tabac
Lather Bowl: Javi Ceramic
Razor: RazoRock Lupo, MR11 Handle
Blade: Voskhod (2)
Post-shave1: Crystal Thai Alum Stick
Post-shave2: Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel plus Organic Moroccan Rose Water (3:1 ratio)
Aftershave Balm: CeraVe
Aftershave: Bootlegger's Eldorado

Full three pass: WTG, XTG, ATG, plus minor buffing and touch--up.

I really like the combination of the RazoRock Lupo (aluminum) head and the stainless Maggard MR11 handle. This is one of those combinations that 'just works'.

Beautiful smooth, comfortable shave. What a pleasure!

BBS - wife approved. No weepers, cuts, nicks or irritation.

First time using Williams- it lacks some cushion compared to my usual soaps (Fine and Stirling) but overall, it performed nicely.

Prep - hot shower
Soap - B&M Lyssa
Brush - RazoRock BC Silvertip
Razor - Karve Brass
Blade - Gillette Rubie Platinum Plus (2)
Post - Thayer's Unscented WH, B&M Lyssa AS

Not a huge fan of the Lyssa scent. The soap smells better than the AS. Kind of a clean scent but reminds me of a hair salon. Nonetheless, a great shave.

Prep: Wash face with PAA the tube
Soap: M&M Green man
Brush: RazoRock Bruce
Razor: Timeless SS .95 scb
Blade: Gillette Platinum (5)

8/10 Slight irritation, probably due to the blade getting old. A good shave regardless!

SOTD, My razors are in small racks in view of myself in the morning and as the old saying"out of site out of mind". It's like a smorg of razors to choose and sometime's I will read a post on a particular razor and I already have a idea which one to use in the morning. Just great to be razor spoiled, this morning its the Pal injecto-matic a mid range injector for comfort.
Razor : Pal injecto-matic -MFG 1952>?
Blade : Schick injector(3)
Soap: Barrister & Mann Seville
Brush: Yaki tuxedo knot 24mm+
Pre-shave: Brush was face with CeraVe hand bar soap + dab of Aloe Vera gel on beard area afterwards.

Have some great shaves!

Razor Head: Global Shave Black Tiger
Razor Handle: Maggard Razors MR11 Blue Anodized Stainless Steel
Blade: Gillette 7o'clock Super Stainless
Brush: Cremo by Vie-Long Horse Hair
Pre-shave: Prep Cream
Soap: Williams Mug Shaving Soap
After-shave: Aqua Velva Classic Ice Blue

Rating 9/10 - It was a DFS and I prefer the weight I got with this head by using the Maggard Razors handle instead of the handle that came with the Black Tiger. It made it much more to my liking and there was no skipping of the head today. I got a little chatter/skipping with how light the Black Tiger's handle is.
