I decided to take yesterday's experiment up a notch today. As the Kai blade lifted the Hybrid Tech from too mild up to DFS I thought I'd try the same blade in my English Flat Bottom Tech, which is slightly more aggressive/effective to begin with. After 3 passes I would say it was just short of BBS, but it didn't seem worth touching up with a more aggressive razor so I stopped there. Some slight but uniform feedback from the alum block, so I guess it was a close shave, but absolutely no bleeding, so 9.5/10.As I failed to learn my lesson from the debacle with the AS-D2 a few weeks ago I thought it would be a great idea to give the Kai blade the opportunity to ruin another mild razor.
I made a slightly thicker than usual lather with TOBS Sandlewood cream and performed three passes with the new Kai blade in my Hybrid Tech. Miraculously I ended up with a bloodless and drama-free DFS.
I had to reach for my Ikon B1 Standard once more to get BBS on my neck, but with that I'd rate the shave as a 10.

I wasn't a fan of the Kai blade but it seems to be a good match for the Tech razors, for me at least.
