Over-did the lather...hahahaha! What a great lather...super-rich, creamy and slick. The scent is just too light...
A good enjoyable shave with the razor in 3passes for a dfs/ccs result without issues. Aftershaves were good as well.

Sunday morning.

Vintage Butterfield Brothers (Oldham) "Griffon" 6/8 square point straight razor
Semogue Pharos black horse brush
Stirling "Triumph" soap
Vintage (1980s) Yardley Gold "Classic" (black stopper) aftershave

Almost went with a different soap this morning, but when I gave a few of them a sniff it was the Triumph that... um... triumphed. Might have been that I had the Yardley in mind, and it seemed to fit best. The Pharos was my first horse brush, and set quite a high bar for the subsequent arrivals.

It's a Face Rubber this morning. Fine work by the Butterfield. Could only be a "10".

A n acceptable shave this morning. A fair amount of stubble, but no nicks or weepers.

Posting later than normal. Our furry four-legged bed heater alarm clock let us sleep an extra 1.5 hours.

Soap: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
Brush: Sea Glass / Omega boar
Razor: Razorock Lupo .72
Blade: Nacet (1)
Aftershave: Old Spice and hyaluronic acid

Good morning! Decided to take another spin with the new boar knot before letting it dry for a few days. Face lathered MWF and got a great lather. Yes, the new boar ate some of it, but I was able to make due. A new Nacet in the Lupo made for a very smooth, very close shave. Finished with Old Spice and hyaluronic acid.

Personna Repair Kit
On my last shave with a first time use AutoStrop and vintage Valet blade I ran a little roughshod over my mouth and chin area. I did post that I had been scrapping it pretty vigorously, but it seemed to get worse as the day progressed. Red and raw with mini scabs all over. I was considering skipping my shave today.

Enter the magical vintage Personna blade on its seventh outing along with my newly acquired 1951 SuperSpeed. Incredible! The blade shaved cleanly over those damaged areas as sweetly as “kiss my hand”. In fact, looking at my post shave face, it appears that it actually healed all existing damage. I hardly had any reaction after slapping on the after-shave, even though PAA is pretty high on the alcohol/burn ratio.

Squadron shave soap always gives me a nice thick and slick lather, but personally I’m not too fussy about the scent of ”Red Lead”. Luckily it’s mild and the scent gets lost to the nose after a minute or two. It truly was a team player in this shaves production.
