BBS and very smooth. 9/10 because I ended up with a couple weepers but still very minimal alum block feedback and they closed up immediately with the alum.

Very nice soap! Sorta pop drink scent and really rich creamy slick lather...!!
This shave with my oldest razor (100) paired with the blade was a perfect combination! Crisp, smooth, and comfortable in 3passes for a bbs to dfs finish. Amazing how good this razor is in comparison to the new ones.
Aftershaves were cold and excellent for an oven-hot day!! Rating 10/10!

The minimal shave

Gillette Brazilian Goodwill
Bolzano on its 8th shave (for the experiment)
Ach. Brito Mogno
NO brush. I did it with my bare hands.

The blade has clearly seen sharper days. But the experiment was to compare yesterday’s 2-day growth shave and the blade on its 7th shave, with today’s 1-day growth and the blade on its 8th shave. In fact, today’s shave felt smoother than yesterday’s. Comparing things can de tricky when the lawn is not in the exact same condition.

Inspired by the conversations that followed yesterday’s post, I decided to go all in (the contrary, actually) and leave the brush out.

@Dovo1695 is right: the thin "lather" is as slick as it gets - although I'm not entirely sold on this hand lathering method. Granted: I haven't dialed it in, either.

Overall - 8

Comments:
Good ole Bullwinkle scooped out the right amount of soap this morning; yielding an acceptable shave with moderate stubble, one nick—clumsy shaver, but no weepers. Blade beginning to dull. I may bank it if my new WCS 84S arrives today. Not much sense in putting a worn down blade in a new razor for its break-in shave.
