Today is a travel shave. It was supposed to be fast and pleasant, in this case I don't have to use very efficient razors. But a good shave anyway ... I only had 15 minutes.

As always, shave the head and face.

Pre-Shave: Cold water splash - Cremo Shave Cream Bourbon Vanilla (Brushless - applied by hand.)
Soap: Cremo Sandalwood Shave Cream
Brush: Yaqi Purple Haze synthetic
Razor: RazoRock Lupo SS SB .72
Blade: Sharp Titanium (1)
Post-Shave: Cold water splash - Thayers Lemon-scented Witch Hazel - Lucky Tiger face tonic
AS: Black Ship Grooming Captain Scurvy splash

So...grab hold of something solid...hold on...here goes! This shave was a 12 on a scale of 1 to 10. Cremo Sandalwood shave cream is like...something that fell to Earth from outer space. This is one of those products that makes me want to say...I can now get rid of everything I have...and just keep and use this. However...I'm one of those people...if you haven't been able to tell already...that really likes variety in the software department. So...as good as Cremo lathering shave cream is...and it's REALLY GOOD...everything else is staying. This stuff smells great...a sort of a mild citrus/sandalwood that lingers...I know...mild and lingers usually don't go together...but somehow it's true! The performance on this shave cream is the best I've ever experienced. Post shave feel is even good. So...I could go on...but I won't because...hold on to something solid...here goes...Sharp Titanium razor blades have arrived! I read a review in a thread on B&B and the OP had some nice things to say about these...so I tried them. Well...they were right! This has just joined the Gillette Silver Blue and Gillette 7 O'clock Super Platinum as one of my top three blades. I topped it all off with good ole' Captain Scurvy, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Lime. Good Ole' Captain Scurvy...he's zany and smells good. I may win the lottery today.

Happy Shaves, Everyone!

Soap: Stirling Ben Franklin
Razor: '79 UK Tech
Blade: Gillette Rubie
Brush: Beagle
Aftershave: Witch Hazel / Osage Rub

First shave with a rubie. Got a few weepers on my neck on the first pass which was strange as that generally doesn't happen. Otherwise, got a nice smooth 2 passer DFS without any aftershave burn. Not my favorite blade, but was honestly really surprised at the lack of burn, given my bad technique resulting in a few weepers.

Will give the blade another shot tomorrow, perhaps in a different razor.

Tuesday morning shave, after yesterday's hurried and poor shave, back up to normal standards today with a gingerly, but effective two-pass shave, result = 9/10, no irritation or weepers:

Pre-shave: shower w/ WSP Lavender Tea Tree soap
Razor: Occam's razor- two-dot head
Blade: Feather Pro (7) perfect for a light shave
Brush: Vulfix 374 Silvertip in faux horn, super soft, a cozy little brush, just fine for the small WSP soap; pulled a Vulfix, after reading a thread earlier today on Vulfix brushes
Soap: WSP Pure Lavender- nice creamy lather with good protection and slickness
Post-shave: cold rinse, then slapped on a nice puddle of Superior 70 Bay Rum, a simple, basic, and high alcohol splash- no burn at all

Have a great day all!

Single pass. Not that great, much less an 11. What's the lowest acceptable rating? Socially acceptable shave?

7/10

I got home and wanted to shave again to set things right. (I didn't. I'll wait.)
