Later post than usual today - the shave was at a normal time, but I'd been out of town overnight and was travelling back.

Dovo shavette (black insert)
Tondeo TSS3 blade
Nom "Carl" synthetic brush
TFS Rasozero "Spiffero" soap
Proraso red aftershave

Good travelling kit (unless it had involved airport security, which it didn't) - I didn't want to pack a strop and it was probably the shavette's turn for a run round the face. The synthetic brush dries quickly too, and is a good match for the soap. I took Proraso red aftershave along because I don't use that one enough.

Functionally brilliant, but I was probably missing my bathroom and the chance to use something older than I am on a Sunday morning. So for weird, abstract reasons I'll give it a "9".

My Father’s Day Shave. Another excellent shave with this razor and blade. This has turned out to be my favorite razor and blade combo. I can always count on a smooth, close shave. The GFT cream is starting to show a significant hole in the bottom. However, a perfect shave. Happy Father’s Day, gents.

A neat little 24-hour beard shave today (actually about 27 hours, but we'll let that slide):

Gillette Tech, postwar, fat-handled, in yellow gold/Personna Red blade (2)

TFS Sera soap, plus some Arko as face cleaner

Semogue boar brush

Chiseled Face Ghost Town Barber AS, Assured lotion, Clubman powder

Post breakfast shave: a little Arko soap to clean the face and throat, then I loaded up the boar with about 30 seconds' whipping from the almost empty tub and face-lathered. Pass 1, WTG; pass 2, ATG, and cleanup XTG, stretching the skin as often as possible. Darn near BBS.

Verdict: 9.6.

I know it's a cologne not an aftershave, but it pairs beautifully with the Czech & Speake.

Sunday Schick Shave, June 20th 2021

Razor: Golden 500 Schick injector with Hydro magic-Mfg 1957-64, great long handled injector(unisex?), longest razor in my rotation that is 5 3/8inches length. Once in a while it is good to step out of the comfort zone your use to and try something like a long handle razor IMO.
Blade: Personna SS PTFE (10) excellent blade, very sharp with excellent longevity, smooths out nicely & predictable.
Soap: Razorock Don Marco- nice citrus scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi 24 mm Tuxedo knot(Sagrada Familia) excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice scrub + great lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock Amici with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: 9/10 or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = :a17: Excellent shave with my Schick Golden 500 with Hydro magic injector complimented with a Personna coated injector blade.

Today's Father days shave
I used some new gear and products today.

Preshave:From Slock’s mad scientist lab Slock’s universal, certified soon to be internationally famous proprietary shaving oil blend.
Razor: Blackland Dart
Blade: GSB

Soap: Stirling Boat Drinks, New Sample, First impression mostly smells like bubble gum.
Brush: Stirling Finest Badger. New Brush first impression I like It. It’s an upgrade to my starter badger brush.
Balm Stirling unscented balm
Cologne: Stirling Haverford EDT New. I have a sample of the aftershave. My wife can’t tell the difference between this and Tom Ford Tobacco Vannile.

DFS. Almost BBS. On my 10th shave with the Dart it was bloodless. The Dart is getting Tamed.

First shave using Stirling soap. Its lather is very similar to Uncle Jon’s shave soap.
