Soap: Stirling Varen
Razor: Le Grelot 6/8
Strop: Tony Miller Steerhide
Brush: Simpson Trafalgar T2
Aftershave: Witch Hazel / Lilac Vegetal

Nice scent on this soap. I don't think I could use it every day but this was the first time I thought that having a matching splash to go along with it would be a good idea, though I doubt I'd ever pull the trigger.

Officially tried all of my Stirling mutton tallow samples, and very happy that I did. Scots Pine was a little weak for my taste, but will be thoroughly enjoying my shaves with all of them. Only allowing myself 1 full tub of one of these, and it will be between either Varen or Electric Sheep. We shall see. I have until the end of June to decide, though I am fairly certain it will be Electric Sheep.

Monday shave, 9/10, one weeper, otherwise nice; I'm all packed for my next stop- New Jersey, other than the razor today's items are staying at Mom's for the next visit:
Razor: Occam's razor- two-dot head- razor just keep giving me great shaves
Blade: Schick Proline P-30 (6)- I binned it today
Brush: Simpson T2- I'm not finding synthetics as good as badgers; maybe it's just me
Soap: Mogno bar- works nicely
Post-shave: cold rinse, then some Fine American Blend splash

Have a great week gents!

Brush: AP Shave Co modular
Lather: Italian Barber Amici

Post: Thayer’s, Proraso wood+spice

Decent but not great shave today with a newly acquired Slim. A lot more blade feel than I was expecting on setting 5, especially compared to my ‘76 Black Beauty. Little bit of irritated feel to the skin.

Shave Rating: 8/10
First ever shave with my new Rocca tonight, it's definitely step up from the DE89/R89 head in terms of aggressiveness/efficiency but it still feels very smooth with this blade in it. Picked up a couple of small weepers where it took the top off of a couple of spots but overall a very nice first shave with no initial irritation and alum feedback limited to the weepers.

Hot Shower Prep
Soap: Stirling Margaritas in the Arctic
Brush: Simpson Commodore 2
Razor: Karve Stainless, SB C plate
Blade: Personna Med Prep
Post: Cold water + Speick After Shave
9.8/10 The SB C plate is the sweet spot in the Karve linup for me: Smooth, irritation free and near BBS. Love those Personna blades!

Today's shave

Preshave:From Slock’s, mad scientist lab Slock’s universal, certified soon to be internationally famous proprietary shaving oil blend.
Razor: Gillete slim (6)
Blade: Personna "Lab Blue"

Soap: Spearhead Seaforth spice
Brush: PAA Peregrino
Balm Stirling unscented balm
Aftershave: Spearhead Seaforth spice

DFS++ After six shaves with the Blackland Dart this felt like a mild razor on setting 6.

- Brush: Simpson Trafalgar 2 synth
- Razor: Razorock Hawk v2 SS
- Blade: KAI Captain Mild (2)
- Soap: Canada Shaving Soap
- Aftershave: Nivea Deep
- Post Shave: Thayers Rose, Hyaluronic Acid

Good evening shave. Not BBS but nice DFS with no issues. Using synthetic brushes for June and the Trafalgar is a good brush but can fling lather around.

I am still enjoying my relatively new Hawk and KAI blades are a good match.

Canada shaving soap is amazing stuff. One of the best I have ever used. It is unscented so pairs well with just about any AS. Nivea Deep is a nice scent, not drying and super inexpensive.

9/10

Stirling soaps are truly awesome and this is no exception. Love the aromatic scent and enjoyed the gorgeous creamy slick lather...
Shave with razor paired with the well-used blade was still good, still smooth, comfortable & efficient enough but just not as silky when new. Managed 3passes for a mostly bbs finish but suffered 1 unexpected weeper. Aftershaves were excellent with the balm prolonging the lovely aroma. Rating 9.5/10
