Today was a quickie shave.

Proraso red preshave while I loaded the
Omega 81064 boar brush with
Proraso red soap. Just enough for one pass.
1965 Gillette Super Speed for the shave...and then I decided to do a quick XTG on the neck. Finished with a small amount of
Proraso red aftershave, which did not knock me over this time as did my first use.

For a quickie shave: 8/10
For a good, close shave: 7/10

Brush: Elite Razor Maple Burl/Declaration Grooming B11
Soap: Grooming Dept Regenwald
Razor: Haircut & Shave P076 Ti
Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum
Aftershave: Taylor of Bond Street Royal Forest

A fine, close, and smooth shave. 9.9/10 (simply because I shouldn't hand out 10s)

Next in my trial of the Vector: how does it do when you oversleep a little and don't have as much time as you'd like for your shave?

Pretty well. Its ease of use is a real asset when there's still enough time to shave but not by much.

Again, three typical passes (W/X/ATG) plus one more ATG for luck. IIRC, the results were uniformly DFS or better. No blood or undue irritation from having to expedite things. I can't remember much more than that since I couldn't leave any notes behind . . . because I overslept. I would say that 15 hours later, my beard is less rough than it usually is this time of night, so that's good.

I used the Proline (8) one more time. It doesn't feel as sharp as I'd like, and I'm really eager to try the razor with a fresh blade, so that may be the drill for tomorrow. On the plus side, even though the blade didn't feel sharp, it wasn't uncomfortable. Just not that efficient; the ATG passes revealed this.

I noticed a lack of residual slickness with the Seville for the first time. Thinking I might be in for a little dryness afterwards, I grabbed the Proraso Green splash, which is nothing if not moisturizing.

Tomorrow I may go for a closer shave now that I already feel comfortable with the razor. A fresh blade and some Tabac?

Razor: Razorock BBS
Blade: Astra SS (2)
Soap: Stirling Electric Sheep
Brush: Omega 10066
Aftershave: Chiseled Face Santa Paula

Good morning! I gotta say, I really like Electric Sheep. Easy to lather and the scent is really growing on me. Good protection and post shave. I will likely get a big one when my sample dies. The Astra blade was much smoother the second time around, but I did manage to nick myself. Nearly BBS in 2 passes.

8.5/10 woulda been higher if I hadn’t been bit.
