What did I just buy?

What have you guys done to me!
I started with the beginner parker, I didn't like that I was holding the TTO and it would loosen as I shaved. Go to the bay, I was told! I wound up with a 1957 Gillette Super Speed Flair Tip. This is the most awesome razor I have ever used.

But I heard so much about the Fatboy. Wow I got one for $40, not a steal but awesome. Then I had to have a birth razor >.< 1969 Super Speed, black handle (I like the '57 one better).

Just for giggles I went to see what was available. There was a Brass? Gold Toned? 3 peice Open Combe razor with a ball tip in a stainless steel case with purple trim inside. It was sitting at $2.50 with 3 minutes left. I won it for $5.50. After the bidding was over I couldn't get back to the pictures so we will have to wait till I receive it for those. Any guesses on what I just bought? I'm clueless.

I got it today!!! I had to clean the tarnish a bit to see if it was brass or nickle LOL. My pictures aren't much better than EBay, but I ain't trying to sell it. I found MR Razors site and it looks to be a 1921 Pocket Edition 51g. The razor, case and blade bank match that.

I am thinking to get the whole thing professionally replated/relined and use it. I don't think it holds much value as a collectable as I picked it up for $5.50.

Also, it's the older style thin cap, not the thicker one that came out in 1921, and IMHO the thin one is the better one.

I really like the set. With all the tarnish on it, I am convinced it was originally silver plated. I am sending the whole thing to the Razor Emporium tomorrow for a complete revamp.
I guess it won't be a cheap razor anymore, LOL.

I'll post pictures when I get it back.
