What's new

What did I get.only paid $3 at a second hand shop.I think I did well!

I want to get both of these restored to pristine condition. Who would be your go to and what am I looking at as far as cost?

One is a large Wade and Butcher the other is a wedge made by fredrick renyolds????? in Sheffield England.

Scales are shot on both...I assume the WB has wood scales but not sure what the scales are made of on the wedge $IMAG0411.jpg$IMAG0409.jpg The wedge has a barbers notch.

I could hook you up with some scales, check my thread "scale blanks and freebie".
The W & B looks horn to me, and so does the F REYNOLDS, which only operated from 1919-1926 Both excellent brands, Awesome finds. Well done.

I have tried to look up info on Max Spreacher and can not find any links other than new blades...can some one please post some relevant links? Thanks!!!

It comes down to finding some1 with the material, As you can see its easy to work, same principles apply until the finish. thats 1 i did awhile ago.

Well I would like to have them restored with either bone or horn...not sure what would look best. Ideas? I want to send these to someone asap to get them in working order...who does that sort of stuff here... who does it well!! Can you guys give me contact details for some good guys who do good straight restorations ??

I'm not sure on who actually does resto's around your area. Most of us do our own stuff. 2 come to mind, but not sure if they would have the time.
