what color/pattern tie goes with a semi bright orange shirt?

Bright orange is a pretty unconventional dress shirt color to match with a tie. Is this a "going out" outfit? I hope it's not for work.

A bright blue tie will sort of energize it. But it will be a "loud" look.

I've never seen an orange dress shirt. I have an orange and blue tie that works well with blue shirts.

Maybe wear it with jeans.

Post a picture of it.

Do you wear it with a jacket of any type? Could you incorporate some of those colors? Otherwise, I suppose on how "loud" an orange the shirt is. Maybe lavender or a shade of green would work.

A dark blue solid tie with some sort of texture (knit, raw silk, wool, cotton, etc) would play well with a loud shirt such as that. Blue is complimentary to orange, and it's a great staple tie to have around. If you're wearing it with a navy jacket you might look for something with a bit more sheen or a pattern to provide contrast and avoid looking too matchy.

Hopefully the manufacturer has implanted a physical "tie rejecting device" in each bright orange shirt they sell.:confused1

I would argue quite strongly that I cannot imagine anything going with an orange shirt, sorry but that is it really, but best of luck and I am sure it will be fun trying.
