What are your favorite & least favorite Disney movies?

Hello everyone. My wife and I have been watching for the past few days family movies...Dreamworks, Disney, etc. I am curious, what are your favorite and least favorite Disney movies? For the sake of keeping it simple, I include Pixar in this list. Lets have fun!

I was not brought up on Disney because my mother did not like Disney so as a child I did not see much if any Disney. Now that I am an adult I am getting introduced to it all. I like several Disney movies which include:

Cars
Finding Nemo (has special meaning to me)
Toy Story 1 and 2
A Bugs Life
Pete's Dragon
The Fox & The House
The Little Mermaid

Now these are not bad movies, but lack the "magic" of the older Disney movies

Bolt
Up

One of my favorites is Bedknobs and Broomsticks.
Robin Hood
Lion King
Fantasia

I just watched Candleshoe for the first time since seeing it
in the theater as a kid. Pretty good movie for that era.

Oh yeah, Mary Poppins!

I have Mary Poppins to watch. I want to see Lion King. My wife loves Disney so thanks to her for introducing me to these great movies.

I haven't seen any of the recent Disney movies from the past 10 years or so, but we had a bunch as a kid and I'd say my favourites were -

Aladdin
Alice in Wonderland
One Hundred and One Dalmatians
The Sword in the Stone
The Rescuers Down Under

Honestly, none of the old Disney movies are bad, all of them are great and probably the best movies for a kid that will ever exist.

I remember getting my dad to rent Fantasia for me and my brother when we were little and then thinking, what the hell is this there's no story or anything! But it's really a very beautiful artistic kind of endeavor, and the Socerer's Apprentice where he chops up the broom and they all come back to life is such a cool old short film.

I enjoyed The Incredibles, since I was in law school, I found the litigation aspect hilarious.

I enjoy most Disney movies, and I have several mixed CD's of Disney show tunes for when I'm in the car.

...

Don't judge me!

My favorite Disney movies:

  • Tron
  • Treasure Island (the original pyrat movie with Robert Newton - ARRRRGH)
  • 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
  • The Jungle Book
  • Never Cry Wolf

My least favorite Disney movies:

  • All of the direct-to-video or political statement junk.

Pinocchio is probably my favorite. My least favorites are probably part 2 of any of them although for the most part I enjoy all Disney movies.

Fox and the Hound was one of my favorites, I'm not familiar with Fox and the House though:wink2: The Sword in the Stone was good too. I loathe the Lion King, don't know why, probably the soundtrack:confused1

outside of looney tunes i don't like cartoons so no disney cartoon gets my vote even though i've seen many of them for free for various reasons (i didin't even like the lion king)

that said, my vote goes to the chronicles of narnia (which says something because i'm not big on fantasy either)

Wall-E was great, but I'm going to have to go with the Disney releases of Hiyao Miyazaki. Spirited Away, Totoro, Kikis Delivery Service, Howl's Moving Castle and Ponyo are amazing. It helps that my younger daughter IS Ponyo.

Being a child during the late '80s and '90s I'd probably have to say The Lion King, Aladdin, or The Little Mermaid. Really though, anything outside of their direct to video stuff is probably worth a watch.
