Pickups from Pasteur’s blowout sale.

Moved house and unpacked my entire shave den.

During a previous visit to T K Max I discovered a cracking deal on Proraso Green shave creame & aftershave plus free sample of pre-Shave for only £10. Today lady luck has smiled on me once more. I now also have Proraso Red Shave creame, aftershave & pre-shave sample.

Went to Maggard's meetup on Saturday. Started by browsing the store then went upstairs. The PIF table was crowded, but I managed to drop off a few things and pick up a couple items. Then I picked up some samples and did some more browsing. I bought a couple tucks of blades and this Fatip I had been thinking about for awhile.
Went back to the PIF table since there were fewer people around it and was shocked to see this beauty in great shape. I don't know if it had been just recently dropped off or if there were few B&B members there, but I am so happy I checked the table again. Needless to say I picked it up.

When these were first being discussed (group buy) I had passed as I already had an Eagle G2 on the way... but over time I kinda regretted it, so when the opportunity came I had to inquire, its even in the shape I wanted,

Shaving Claus visited and brought me the RR Thin handle, which I’m going to love, and 100 GSB.
Btw, these appear to be the older ones that are double wrapped without date codes on the boxes. IIRC, these are supposedly better than some newer ones? Could a GSB expert chime in? Because if so, I hit jackpot.

The older double wrapped GSBs are slightly better than the newer ones but they’re both great

The Beagle is a good brush. Once yours has a few shaves under its belt, I would be curious as to how it compares to the Eagle.
I just received my birthdate (W2 1951) razor back from re-plate. It looks fabulous.

I like my Parker pure and black badgers so thought l would get a silver tip.
First of three Rudy Vey Re-knots. This one is an Elite Bloody Basin Jasper handle which I just love. The new knot is one of Rudy's ShaveMac Two-band Silvertips.

I have just recieved my birth year & quarter razor from Razoremporium. A Super Adjustable 109 "Black Beauty" date code E3
Quick questioin for my fellow old Gillette lovers...what year is a Super 109 "Black Beauty" with an E3 date code?...You have just answered "1984" right? Well oddly enough Razoremporium seem to think that it is a 1959. Which would make it only 1-6 months younger than my Fatboy
While it does not have the diamond pattern knurling on the handle that I thought the 1984 Super 109s had. But surely that just means that the factory was using up old stock. Not evidence that Gillette had made a Super 109 during the Fatboy era.
In either case I am happy to have this razor. I purchaced it as a birthday present to myself so I am now going to wrap it back up untill September.
