Got a bottle of Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum aftershave and a RR Plissoft with the Bruce handle. Cleaned up the brush tonight and did a test hand lather. Looking forward to using them in the morning!

It is slow and smooth as butter, outs a nice shine on the edge

I just got these this week. I didn't get a chance to post the new razor before I took it for a spin but the brushes haven't even gotten wet yet. Nothing special here. All Maggard except the RR bazooka handle (not new either).

LOVE the Plissoft!!! Used it again this morning and put the other two brushes away.

Ok you said pics. My last purchases for a while love my new brush and soap. The brush feels amazing. Been wet shaving for about year and a half last two months I went on a buying spree need to calm down for a while.

Been designing this and a 2-piece DE razor for some months now. The razor hasn't arrived yet, but the handle did!

I'm a Design Engineer...This is what nerds do when they are bored...lol!

It's a short and fat handle, 3/4" diameter and 2 7/8" in length including the ball end. I've named it the "2875 Barberpole"

It's 3D printed out of a material called Alumide, which is a plastic/aluminum composite material. I wanted to tap the M5x0.8 thread so my R89 head fit like a glove. It's pictured next to my R89 Grande handle for perspective.

I think it looks very trick!

I think the matte finish and the knurling will provide plenty of grip!

My Vie Long 4101 Boar/Horsehair Mix with a stand arrived today
I washed it with baby shampoo, overloaded it with Derby soap and kept building lather in a mug, rinsing the mug, building lather, rinsing and so on until all the soap was lathered out, then I shampooed it again......
and then overloaded and lathered it again and again, then gave it another shampoo.
The worst of the funky smell is gone, I'll find out tomorrow how it lathers.

In a word...AWESOME!!!

The short, fat handle made handling my DE feel like driving a go-kart! The balance is really good, and I was correct in assuming that the aluminum mixed in the plastic would increase wet-traction on the surface - I was quite pleased!. It felt great in hand!

I designed it using Solidworks, a 3D parametric modeling program. I don't have a 3D printer, however, so I ordered it from a 3D print service after uploading my design files to their server. Shown below is what my model looked like...the print was extremely close, supposedly +/- 0.15mm
