What's new

What are you listening to?

Something a little different... ;-)

Sounds like a synthesizer, and not pipes? If they are pipes the sound certainly was processed through something.

She uses Redpipes (Redpipes - https://www.redpipes.eu/shop/en), which are an electronic bagpipe that can be played like the real thing. They're great for playing onstage as part of a band (I get to pipe on occasion with a local Celtic band, Dulahan, and their main piper plays a set), but I agree, they sound synthesized. I prefer acoustic pipes myself!

I know that band. I live near Dayton.

I posted this video earlier this year, but what the hey... my daughter and her cousins appear in this video from last year.

That was lovely! Here's one of me joining Dulahan at last year's Dayton Celtic Festival (I'm next to the fiddler). I sure hope it comes back next year, it's one of my favorite festivals!

Well done, @PiperKev. You must be a fan of the Tannahill Weavers. If you go back a couple pages in this thread you'll find another video I posted of a band that was from my old neighborhood playing their Christmas song. They have a piper as well.
