What's new

What are you listening to?

I have this CD on pre-order and can't wait for its release. I bought the original Time Out LP, when I was in 8th or 9th grade in 1959 or 1960. I've been collecting DBQ LPs, cassettes, 8-tracks and various CDs releases through the early 70s since then. While I'm not a fan of most jazz, I still enjoy my collection of 700+ Brubeck tracks from the 50s and 60s.

Billski

Here I am, 1st again.
Chet Atkins: an excellent guitarist
Album: Sails

I heard about him in 1962 from the ‘Ruff’ family. They were a bunch of Hillbillies , 14 people in 1 house. This is the 1st time I have ever heard his music. And he is FANTASTIC !!!

Mike Oldfield and Maggie Reilly

I liked Maggie's voice. Until now, the only Oldfield I remember ever hearing is Tubular Bells. He was like Rick Wakeman in the 70s, best listened to while stoned. I still have Oldfield's first Tubular Bells LP and several Wakeman LPs, but with no record player, I haven't had them out of storage in 30-40 years.
