Here's another winner from the alleged greatest songwriter of the twentieth century.

You like McCartney? Here you go, @MrBeez. Listen to this on a loop for 3 or 4 days.
Well, any song on a loop for three to four days, let alone a seasonal one like that would drive anyone nuts. But I hear ya. McCartney has produced some forgettable tunes. I always remember Rolling Stone describing his Wildlife LP as "the nadir of rock and roll" and I loved that record :) And the flip side to that is - what do critics know anyway, right? I'm still a big fan, and on the whole I think he's got a fantastic body of work as a solo artist. I especially like his more recent records like Egypt Station, New, Memory Almost Full, and Chaos and Creation in the Backyard. As with anything artistic, tastes vary.

I see "Kinda Blue" a lot on here. This might belong on the covers thread, but I bought this album based solely on the strength of hearing this track (the whole album is awesome). It's an all star vocalese of Freddie Freeloader with Jon Hendricks, Bobby McFerrin, Al Jarreau, and George Benson.
