These days I've been listening to a few things:

1) The Weakerthans, an indie band from Canada
2) Dubstep, a sub-genre of the UK garage scene
3)Tokyo Police Club
4) Death From Above 1979
5) Bobby Timmons

And always in my rotation during every rainy season: Etta James - Mystery Lady: The Songs of Billie Holiday

A friend of mine turned me onto Death From Above 1979 in April, man they are intense.

As for the OP, been listening to a weird mix of the Pixies, Judas Priest, Crystal Castles, and Justice. If you are into electronica, it is a moral imperative you check out the last two.

Lately I've been listening to Philip Glass (especially Satyagraha) and Duruflé's Requiem. Brilliant stuff. In addition to classical and opera, I often listen to progressive rock and post rock.

Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits. His latest album "kill to get crimson", very easy folk/blues with amaizing guitar. I especialy enjoy the song "punish the monkey"

Meatloaf -Bat out of Hell
Alice Cooper - Welcome to My Nightmare
Led Zepplin - IV
Aerosmith - Get Your Wings
Bruce Hornsby and the Range - Scenes From the Southside
Lynard Skynard - Pronounced "Lynard Skynard"
J Giles - Sanctuary
