Having a cheat day. First beer in 6 months. Dinner is Korean BBQ. beverages are Stella and vodka. I bought some soju but held off on opening it. So vodka.

I always thought Woodford was famous for that cherry flavor. Like your last experience, it's never quite stricken me well-- not so much that it's there but that it's so prominent.

I drank a gallon of water at work today and haven’t stopped drinking water since. I is mid 90’s here and the humidity was 90%.
It could be. When I first started with Woodford, I was very inexperienced and didn't have any in depth tasting discussions with folks. I take it as a positive that my palette is growing. It has been pretty prominent the last couple of pours. I bet it'd be great in a Manhattan though.
If it's any consolation, I missed it as well. But, there's always today.
I'm pretty sure every day is NBD.
I consider it a good sign that I was able to resist the initial impulse to jump up and pour a finger when I found out the significance of the day!

Better than I expected. I’m not sure where or when this bottle became part of our household. I’m pretty sure it made the move from Texas to Michigan to Indy with us though.

Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon, one cube - it was 100 degrees in Denver today. Yikes!
With this heat I’ve not partaken in adult beverages in a few days. Just pushing lots of water and Gatorade Zero. My uniforms have sweat rings below my knees.
