One thing I've discovered is that I don't have a very sophisticated palate. But, it allows me to get great enjoyment out of low priced whiskey. So in that sense, I'm ok with it.

Unexpected midweek night out. OF with Whistle Pig Piggy Back Rye. Delicious. They have some nice bourbon here that I can’t get, but a pour is pricey. $22 for a pour of ETL :-(
