Wednesday is Ryeday for me. When I retired I declared that weekends start on Wednesday.
Feeling a little nostalgic for my younger years but I have a feeling I’m going to regret this decision in the morning. There’s still time, I won’t start until 1700. Maybe something will change my mind.
Is there a problem with your picture? I mean... your glass looks empty.

The Yamazaki edged the Nikka. I usually prefer a big, peated whisky but these were delicate and complex. Worth a look if you get the opportunity.
I'm going to sip some scotch, as is usual for a Friday.
I'm still working so they have to start on Wednesdays...
Went to a gin tasting on Tuesday evening at Atlas bar: the theme was Nordic gins. I can highly recommend Arctic Blue from Finland. I have taken to drinking gin and tonic in a coupe with a decent amount of ice and Fever Tree light, but the lovely Lauren in the bar recommended FT Mediterranean and it was a winner.

Starward, Australian Whisky. A special bottle from a friend who is also a part-owner. This batch was aged in ex-shiraz casks and is fruity, spicy and lush. If you zoom in you can read the dedication on the label.
Monkey Shoulder neat.
I haven't tried that particular one, but I have tried whisky aged in red wine barrels and it was pretty good. Some whisky bar here, can't recall the name and will have to Google it now(!)
After 8 weeks of no alcohol I decided to sample Remy Martin 1738 as a night cap. I’m usually a Scotch drinker but have decided to sample cognacs. 1738 made me glad for deciding to explore something new.
