What are you drinking tonight?

Cracked this bottle tonight. It is the second Zaya cork I’ve popped. The initial sip is a bit harsh, but it mellows nicely as the ice melts. A little local Key West lime as garnish!

Whiskey Thyme. My wife requested this cocktail. I couldn’t find Cardamaro, so I substituted Cynar. I made a honey thyme syrup. And I used an orange twist as I didn’t have fresh grapefruit juice. Despite the corner cutting, we wound up with a nice cocktail!

It's hard to go wrong using fresh herbs in cocktails. I'm crazy about anything made with basil or sage.

Bokbier season is upon us once again. Year after year one of the very best expressions of the style is brewed by 'T IJ' Brewery of Amsterdam. I am having one right now! Amazing stuff!
