Trying to figure out what makes a good Mai Tai using orgeat made commercially--Small Hands Foods brand--from almonds. Not having a great time of it. I had made orgeat myself from almonds and found it underwhelming, barely present, but thought my technique was the problem. It does make for a very rum forward Mai Tai, which is not so bad. Just does not see very tiki.
