Final racking of 22 gallons of my 2019 Petite Sirah, pulled a bottle to enjoy tonight.

I generally dislike Chardonnay, but last night we had a Stoller Chardonnay from the Dundee hills of Oregon. It was lovely, much more like a French Burgundy with none of that "Ew! What is that weird taste?" that I get from California Chardonnays.
I found a Ricard glass and it arrived late this afternoon. A little more than an ounce of Pastis and about 3 oz of ice cold water. This is the first time I have had it without ice, and it is the smallest amount I have consumed. Perfect!

Gold Rush. Not quite a double. Wildflower honey gives it a darker color. I think I prefer it to a Bee’s Knees with gin.

First time trying this!
In my ongoing quest to use the Green Chartreuse, I found a cocktail called the Bijou. 1 oz each of gin, sweet vermouth and Chartreuse with a dash of orange bitters. Since I have all the ingredients, I made it. Have to say, not a fan.

Martinis...Tanq and Dolin, 3:1, well shaken, with plump olives. Paella is cooking. Life is good. If only I could figure out my next razor. Hmmmmm.
The orange bitters are in there, too. There are several variations of the Bijou. I might try another iteration as I find the 1:1:1 ratio with a dash of orange bitters a tad sweet.
I have been drinking Plantation Grande Reserve 5 Year. I thought it said 5 star on it, too. Pure Barbados rum, unlike my usual go to rum these days, the Plantation 3 Star, which is a blend of rums from three islands. I really like them both and the prices are right. I I will give the edge to the GR. Great in a Barbados Rum Punch, which is becoming a go to itself. Simple but excellent.
