Effete Jolie Bouche Syrah 2008!
Going to a gin tasting in about 20 mins - I have no idea what they will be, but the email from the bar states that they will be gins that have wine-making expertise or processes in their distillations. Most intriguing.
Gallo Sweet Vermouth with a couple lemon slices. Not a great sipping Vermouth. The wife bought it. It must go.
Dewars again with a splash of water. I gave JW red label a try the other day. It was inexpensive and convenient. Nice smoke on the finish but I swear I can taste the Carmel coloring in it.
MACALLAN 12 SHERRY OAK
Wicked Dolphin Rum Distillery Holiday Open House last evening. Lots of free food and grog. Very generous folks at this local artisan distillery. I picked up a bottle of Bourbon/Maple barrell aged rum. Really nice sipping rum.

Both of those Bourbons are fantastic pours .I can not say one is better than the other just a little different .I get a slight sweet cherry component from the Rock Hill Farms and slightly more spice and sweet baking flavors from the Blantons.You can not go wrong purchasing either one of them IMHO .
