What's new

What are you currently eyeballing?

I was looking at a Schick Krona razor with the metal TTO knob for awhile. I finally pulled the trigger and bought it on Friday. My old Krona was getting pretty worn out and the plating was wearing off and rusting. That is my all time favorite razor and constantly gives me great shaves, so a "new" Krona was necessary. And cheap too!

I'm slowing down on the RAD a bit...
I would like a 0.86 WR1 and a Charcoal Lvl 3 baseplate and hammered or magnum handle to go with my Lvl 2 razor. Oh... and a Timeless OC Bronze. Then that's actually about it.

I've had a few good weeks. The Charcoal Lvl 3 with Magnum and a WR1 0.86 OC.

I guess my list is now the Blackland Tradere OC and a Timeless Bronze OC.

Waiting to see/hear more about the new Stirling razor. My fancy is also being tickled by a Timeless Ti 0.95 SB head.

Janus Toggle.

Last update (5 days ago) only 5 of the 51 numbered limited edition razors remain. Serial numbers 8, 20, 37, 38, and 39. I reserved number 5.

Going to be a bit of a wait for one. First of next year at the earliest. What the heck, I waited 2 years for my Wolfman. Anything worth having is worth waiting for eh?

Earlier in the thread, I said I had my eye on the Janus Toggle. Still do, kinda, although I didn't preorder the limited numbered edition because I didn't like any of the changes that Eric made to make it stand out from the regular production version.

I was eyeing the Feather SS folding shavette, but not for too long; I ordered it on Monday and I suspect it will be awaiting me when I arrive home from work this evening. Maiden shave with my new baby will be tomorrow morning.

I am also eyeing the Blackland Tradere, of course, since I caught but released the original SB Tradere back in 2013 or so. Missing it ever since.

I sprung for one of the limited edition razors mainly because I fear that the 51 will be the only ones ever made. I hope I am wrong though since I wish success to anyone who puts as much work into a project as Eric has.

I keep going back and forth from Timeless. I'm so tempted to buy a SS or Ti. I will probably do that soon enough, maybe in October as a birthday gift for myself.
I just love the look of it.
Do I need it? Yes indeed! My Rockwell 6s deliver excellent shaves, better than any vintage razor I have, but I need something to rotate with.
Or a reason to put the Rockwell back into the box, who knows.

I just can't resist this, it's pure razor porn. To bad with all crazy import fees and postal fees to get it to Sweden.

I'm just curious. Why can't people say ebay?
There's nothing wrong with simply saying "eBay".
But . . . according to the B&B Terms of Usage:
6. To prevent abusive advertisement, no member shall direct other members, either through direct hotlink or indirectly through comments or other means, to any live e-Bay auctions or other auction sites.

Do not post URLs, item numbers, or seller IDs or any similar information unless that e-Bay sale is strictly a "buy it now" sale with no option available to place a bid, or is contained within an e-Bay storefront.

Members should also use good judgment in posting information that may reference specific active auctions, particularly if the extra attention drawn to it would be unwanted by other members who may be bidding.

Please feel free to discuss eBay auctions only after they are closed.
So, really it's only about posts that may affect the outcome of an auction, whether it could potentially raise or depress the final sale price. Also, posts along the lines of "how much should I bid on this item?" are discouraged, if not forbidden.

Treat yourself. I've sold all my razors save the ASD2 & my two Timeless (one Ti & one a SS/Ti hybrid) and latter two are all I use. Such a joy to use!

I agree. I have the Timeless Stainless .68SB, .95SB ( hybrid with Bronze top cap ) the Bronze .38SB and the Aluminum. My two favorites are the Aluminum and the .68SB Stainless. I have the RAD now for the Ti .68SB. Maybe Christmas or next year for my Birthday. . You can’t go wrong with the Timeless so just close your eyes and pull the trigger.

I will for sure. Must say I'm not unsatisfied with the Rockwell, it is really a rock solid performer, but the aesthetic of the Timeless is very appealing.

Would you rate the SS or Ti higher? I have no problem with the weight of the Rockwell, 120 grams I think.

Both really beautiful. I believe the sound of the Ti is a bit scrappier than the SS which is more clinical, if that makes any sense. Also the SS gives you more handle options if that is a concern to you. And of course the weight is obviously a big factor - Ti is much lighter and therefore much more manoeuvrable than the SS.

I don’t have the Ti, but the SS is heafty. I understand from those that own the Ti it is a dream and gives the same shave as the SS. I think the reason I reach for the Aluminum most days is because it’s only .75 oz less in weight than the Ti but is so maneuverable.

This thread is lethal! I'm pretty sure I wasn't looking for a new razor before I started reading it... wasn't I? I seemed so innocent back then; just a bit curious. The words seemed so harmless: "Wolfman", "Timeless". Just a quick Google search; what the worst that could happen?... I had no idea of the depths of the most filthy, hard-core wet-shave-porn I was about to enter:blink:.

I didn't close my eyes. I wish I had. I saw it happen... all of it! How the mouse started moving. Then clicked. More moving and more clicks followed. I then saw text appear in text fields. I looked down: "Never look down!". My own fingers typing away at the keyboard... they... just... moved... all by themselves!? A name... an address... PAYMENT INFO!! I saw my mouse move towards the Purchase-button. This was a fight-or-flight moment. Time slowed down. The adrenalin gushed through my veins. Fight! I would fight!! I would not stand for this! Not on my watch! I don't care what I have to do but I will... "Click"... A deep, dreadful silence filled the room. My breath was stuck in my throat. All I could hear was the faint muffled beats of my elevated heart-rate. "Ploing"... e-mail-alert: "Thank you for shopping with us. We have received your order. We'll send a confirmation after your items ship.". Sender: Timeless Razor.
