What's new

what am i missing?

ok so for some reason (and i blame the shops ever nearing festive campaigns) ive already been asked what i want for christmas a couple of times, so i naturally think razors. now for the reason im posting, heres my D.E collection so far
fatboy (poor condition so im looking to replace this, but not just yet),
slim adjustable,
flare tip rocket,
tv superspeed,
40s superspeed,
1950s ish aristocrat,
early 1930s aristocrat (in great condition from ebay for £11 ),
long handle super adjustable,
laurel open comb,
eclipse,
feather portable.
and im getting a slant within the next few weeks or so. i shouldve mentioned, this is only the D.Es i have, i do have brushes a few straights and a few soaps and creams (wilkinsons sword, tabac, trumpers etc)
so what do you guys think i should get to make my collection more complete D.E wise?
ill also accept blade, soap, cream and A.S suggestions

One for each mentioning:

Fat Handled Tech
Feather
Tabac
Truefitt & Hill Ultimate Comfort Shaving Cream
Tabac AS
and if you care for a cologne; Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet EDT

With all the razors you have your gonna need a brush to handle them.Might I suggest a 30mm silvertip.

Why limit yourself? Go for a SE and/or injector.

i already have quite a few non DE razors, including several SE, i may look into an injector, its just finding SE blades locally is near impossible and i like DE so much that a bulk order of blades for SE would never get used.

I don't know where you are located, but do you have a Walgreens nearby? The "Gem by Personna" stainless single edge blades usually sold at most of their strores will give you a very decent blade with which to try your SE's. Be aware that not all SE's are created equal, but if you don't already have an ASR 1912 patent or a Gem 1900/1901 patent, you don't know what you've been missing.

Regards,
Tom

unfortunately im in the UK (although that may change to fortunately once ive visited trumpers and all its surrounding london based shave shops next week ) so no such shops near me. i do have a couple of 1912s which ive tried thanks to a couple of sealed blades that came with one of them. ill get some more blades in london if i see any.
