What's new

What about metal being taken off the spine when honing?

“I honestly don't much care about the cosmetics. I don't pay extra for a beautiful hammer. I don't pay extra for a beautiful razor. Well, usually not, anyway. And I don't value a razor or any other tool less because it appears to have been used.”

Interesting, I restore, refinish/grind and polish antique clock and small ball peen hammers, re handled in thin, octagonal handles of exotic woods and sell them for well over a hundred dollars. I can’t make them fast enough.

Most go to jewelry makers.

To each their own.
