What's new

Wetshaving- It's a family affair!

Today, I walk into my ensuite bathroom to have a shower and there in front of my antique doctors cabinet is three things. My new tub of Strop Shoppe Russian Tea, Bob Farvour Custom Eagle and my minty Red Tip Heavy! I get a little smile on my face and think ' Finally, she's onboard!' I have a fantastic shave and make my way out the door to work. I give her a call in the truck and a thank you and she tells me it wasn't her. It was Zack, my 5yr old boy. She told me he spent 10-15 min choosing and smelling. He even asked if he could choose which blade, but mom stopped him there. She was so proud of him watching him sniff and try so hard to get the right combo!
Needless to say, I have a new member waiting to join, we're all going to wait a few years though!
On a strange note though, I had just posted yesterday on a thread in regards to the red tip AND the SS soap! I thought Capt Killjoy was still creepin' me here on the forum!

I recommend the Derby blade for the youngin' .....very little chance of a cut at all :)

Seriously though, cool story. Thanks for sharing!

That's so cool. I can't wait for my future stepsons to come of age so I can pass down my love for shaving. I was never taught, so it'll be a joy to teach my youngins to do it right.

That's awesome!

Tell her I said, "See? Isn't it nice that I got Darryn hooked on this father & son bonding mechanism?"

I bet she can't wait to thank me.....NOT!

Oh...and tell Zack I'm disappointed he didn't pick one of my brushes! LOL

Eventually when I have kids, I'll teach them to stay away from the nasty carts. DE all the way. I wish someone showed me the way, I had to find it on my own!

I gave my 4-year-old my old Synthetic brush a couple weeks ago, just realized what I can do with leftover L6/Cadet parts!
