So I popped into Nordstrom today here in Honolulu just to see what they have for shaving products. They carry AOS, Anthony Logistics, Jack Black and Lab as shaving specific products. They also have plenty of aftershave of course. After talking to the salesman for a little while he informed me they have a special on the AOS preshave oil at two for $25.00 for the unsented only. You fill out a form and they send it to your house the first week of July. No shipping charges. They are having some kind of event in July and this is probably to get your information so they can get you into the store for the event. I didn't think to ask if it was only for Hawaii. I heard the sales people offering similiar specials to people around the store while I was there.

I lost a modicum of respect for them when they let AOS push out T&H. Even though AOS probably sells better, it seemed very un-Nordstrom of them to do.

Is this the ala moana location?
I walked in to Nordstrom yesterday hoping to find some Floris or Aqua di Parma. Boy am I dumb.

I also stocked up on AOS sandalwood at Ala Moana a while ago. I believe they also carry the Institute Karite products on the same floor.
Nordstroms does a pretty good job of stocking a good selection of higher end conventional fragrances. I don't have any use for Jack Black but (at the risk of being struck by a Super Speed from the heavens) I'd rather have AoS than T&H if it came down to it.
I made the mistake of trying to shop there myself. I was assaulted by no less than three fragrance wielding salespersons in fifteen seconds. One of them was "giving" away a travel toiletry kit with purchase. It had the sorriest disposable razor in it!
Worse, a Mach 3 might rise up from the depths of Hades and claim you.
Today starts the Men's half yearly sale at Nordstroms..

I was at the Palo Alto Nordstrom and every single employee in the beauty department had no idea what Truefitt & Hill was. Shame, I've been meaning to try some 3T's.
That is their one saving grace.
You can buy the sample pack online from T&H, with the discount it runs either 8 or $15, depending on whether you want cologne samples or not. Shipping is free.

I thought about trying that. How many shaves do you actually get out of a sample?
I got 3 very nice four pass shaves with each T&H cream sample.
I shop at the Cherry Hill, NJ location of Nordstrom. Besides the brands mentioned, they also carry Kiehl's and Billy Jealousy products, which I've heard good things about. I want to try it someday, but haven't gotten around to it yet.
When this store opened about a year ago, I asked them about T&H. They never heard of it. The saleskid asked me "Is it a new company?" I said "Yeah. They just started up in '05 ... ... ... EIGHTEEN '05."
They carry women's L'Occitane products, but not men's. I asked about getting some Cade shave soap, and the saleslady gave me her card and said she could call another location in Pennsylvania and order it for me. I would pay for it (with NJ sales tax added,) but there would be no extra charge for shipping it straight to my house. I haven't tried this method yet, but it bears looking into.
