Went looking for Norcom Brazil notebooks

Over lunch, this forum inspired me to check my local Walmart. Every Norcom composition book was either from the USA or Vietnam.

After looking around, I found there were Norcom single-subject 80-page notebooks from Brazil in wide and college rule. They look like this in various colors:

I grabbed a few. I have no idea if they will be good for fountain pens or not, but I'm hoping it's the same paper. Unfortunately, instead of 50 cents, they were 97 cents. Highway robbery! :001_tongu They also had some pocket sized hardback composition books from Brazil for 50 cents, so I grabbed a couple of those too. Anyone tried these?

Probably the same paper so I suspect they'll work just fine. But the only way to make sure is to try them out with a fountain pen. Let us know how it works out.

Seems to work well. No feathering, smooth enough, ghosting but no bleed-through with regular writing. Not bad at all!

I also got 3 Staples college-ruled composition books for 10 cents each (with a $5 purchase) yesterday and the ones I got are made in Brazil as well. That's a deal!
