What's new

Well, now I HAVE seen everything.

Gillette had this out for a while. More of a brush dispenser than self foaming but just as weird

Very similar. I wonder how this patent was able to be approved? It was only registered 2 years ago and clearly, judging by that video, Gillette had thought of that delivery system quite a few years ago.

I am still not sure what problem this supposedly solves. A continuous supply of shaving foam to the brush? First off the shaving foam makes a brush completely unnecessary and only adds more of a mess to cleanup, secondly I can not think of a single instance where a continuous supply of shaving foam into a brush would be desired let alone advantageous. Yet another solution looking for a problem.

I seem to recall, in my youth, someone came out with a shaving brush that snapped onto the top of a can of shave foam, replacing the dispensing nozzle with one that had a built in boar brush...

Yep. That idea came and went about 20 years ago.

Years ago I placed an online order for some Zirh brushless shaving cream to use when travelling with a light kit. Zirh provided a complimentary pure badger shaving brush to use with the cream. Useless with their cream but it is an fair, if not cheap, travel brush. As you said, another solution looking for a problem.

I'm confused... they sent you a brush... to use... with their brushless cream?

A BrushPlus as shown on the youtube clip would probably be worth a few dollars today, Do you have one in your brush collection?

Yeah, it sounds like a good idea until you put it on the stove to get hot lather, and it blows up (I assume everyone knows what I'm talking about...)
