What's new

Well, its miscoloured but I’m gonna smoke it

So a bunch of tobacaneers followed my journey in growing the cigar tobacco. Some dried nicely and some, well, there was still some green. Didn’t ferment any. (Yet). Took some of the worst looking stuff and tried my hand rolling following a particular YouTube video. You know, the one you could watch even if you had no interest in rollin cigars. (Don’t know, start watching, you’ll find it, about 46 minutes long, I think.). Here are my results. On my way out to try it. Hopefully I return. This attempt was all about technique, right? (Corona size btw)

Okay, so...

roll was too tight and filleri (I dampened it thinking that it was too dry) I can correct this but draw was too tight, and I ended up biting it in half to get a good take on it. (Not my best moment, but the teeth were there)

Taste was good. Very mild with a good touch of Jack Knife Plug taste in there. (Pipe smokers know what I mean)

#2 should be a tasty smoke. (As well as any successive ones that I age)

I declare the project a success and am celebrating with an assortment of Scotchs and Port wines, not mixed. (Taylot Fladgate 10yr, Glenfiddich 12 yr, Tomatin 12yr, and Suntory Hibiki to be exact.). It’s gonna be an excellent night.
