Weird shedding from Omega 31064

Really like this brush a lot; love the way it works; the dimensions seems perfect for boar and it actually works somewhat like a badger brush in the way it makes lather, ie a lot quicker and well, better.

However, its been shedding in a way thats got me quite confused; its losing 'pieces' of bristle with every shave. About 2cm long. And its usually black bristle. The only part that is black is the middle of the bristle (the 31064 is dyed to look like badger, for those unfamiliar with it). The strange thing is, I never seem to see other parts of the bristle.

Any thoughts?

I have the same problem with my 31064. I guess it's due to some kind of breakage. In addition to the smaller black pieces, I also get several whole hairs coming off each time I use it.

I have a similar situation. You're probably just seeing the black pieces more frequently because they are easier to see. Usually if I find lighter colored hairs, it's because I've come across them by accident after having not seen them at first. Also, I don't think the banding is natural (i.e. they dye the brush) and maybe this weakens it a little, causing breaks there easier.
