Intrigued! I want to know what knot that is in the Omega Mighty Midget handle. I really like short loft Omega boar bristles but not the badger/boar mix. The handle although small is not cheap plastic and works for me. Does the knot have good backbone? Did you use steam to get the knot out? Spill the beans. You can't just post the phot with no detail, can you?
Looks like a standard 50068 to me. I had its taller brother the 10086 but found the knot to small for my taste and settled on the 40033 (wide waist) pure bristle and it is just right.
+1
I agree! I have a beard, so I like smaller, short loft boars. My favorite Omega is the 40033 knot but I hate the handle , so I rehandle. I also have the 50068 and it works for me. The handle is a little small but I find that it splays very nicely and is really maneuverable. I also don't throw out a lot of lather with the 50068. The knot on the Mighty Midget is 20mm and the 50068 is 18mm and a really short loft. It appears to be the only knot that might fit and is not dyed. If it is the 50068 knot I might try it. I don't like the handle on the 50068.
I also have the 10086 and find it too small and too floppy.
I bought this bush recently at Pasteur Pharmacy 34th Street , for $4.19 .
I posted picture only , because I didn't have any info on the brush .
It appears to be the model 50068 .
So far I love how it performs .
Like deoxy4 says it splays very nicely and is really maneuverable .
Here are the specs : http://www.shoeboxshaveshop.com/omega-50068-quotbambin50068.html
I must be brain dead. I really like the 50068. I have been using it for 2 years or so, pretty great value for under $10. I noticed the brush handle had Pura Setola (Pure Bristle) imprinted on it and mistook it for the handle of the Omega mixed boar Mighty Midget. I have used the 50068 so much the writing has worn off. and did not recognize it. Never mind.
The 50068 is a little fun brush; it has a hard time holding lather for more than two passes but who cares. It always puts a smile on my face when I use it.
I agree with other posters that the 40033 is a much better (versatile) brush and maybe even has the best knot that Omega puts out. Actually I like the ergonomics of the 40033 (it took a while though) but I wouldn't mind an improvement on the quality of it.
