WD biting the dust

Got a whipped dog brush, looks like its biting the dust. Bought brush back in February or March. Always been a shedder, 1 or 2 hairs per shave. Last shave lost 20+, just did a test lather and lost about 30... Any suggestions for prolonging life? Can't afford a new brush atm.

I would, but i didn't buy the brush from him. I bought it from someone who bought it from him... It was still new, but I feel bad trying to mention it to him.

Try giving it a soak in apple cider vinegar mixed 1:10 with water for a half hour. Though I have never had a shedder this is what I use to remove soap scum and hard water deposits from my brush knots. Supposedly a buildup inside the brush is one main cause of hair breakage.

Losing a few hairs with each shave is quite normal I guess. 20-30 sounds to be quite unusual. Either you have a very defective brush or you have been using too much pressure and/or water that is too hot!

Sounds like my 24mm WD. It loses 3-5 hairs per shave. I combed it twice and each time it lost 40-50 hairs. Larry did replace it free of charge.
