Stone from post 106 in this thread. I need to retest the sg to see what effect it had
My Washita collection. I had quite a few but kept the most interesting/fastest onesView attachment 1151834View attachment 1151838. Two are razor grade and two are knife only.
Wow! They do look related. I kept that skinny lady because of her performance. She eats steel like very few others. I love those old handmade boxes too. So she was a keeper. Excellent skinny Washita.Hey Toro, I might have the cousin of one your rocks. They might have been neighbors in the same vein. A old Washita, 9 x 1 1/2 with a 1 1/8” working surface. Like yours, it is a good looker. Nice rosey color, translucent thru on all sides with speckled banding. Guessing by the oxidation on the wood and stone, mid to late 1800’s. It is my bevel setter on heavy smiles. The stone is hard and fast but leaves a minimal scratch pattern

I would like to take this time to congratulate you on such a nice collection of natural stones. Every time I see you have posted something I go there first. Thanks for sharing!
Tim's living the dream. He lets his wife flea market for (jewelry I think?) while he looks for stones. They're both happy and he gets a collection that would make anyone jealous.
