My Dad got some chili pepper and shizuan pepper corn peanuts from China. De-lish. Something like this pic, but much more red with chilis.

If you get the chance try the hapi Sriracha Peas (chili garlic coated green peas). I brought some to the office and they are a big hit as the can will be empty by tomorrow.

not in the same spicy vein but should a sweet tooth take your fancy try banana kicks from nongshim. you can find them at oriental groceries.

In fact go to those stores and play snack food roulette. (buy random backs of bad for you snack food and hope you get something good) most are good some are terrible ymmv.

I've got a recipe for those, Kent, I'll post it later

Nice! I can't wait!

I was a bit worried eating the ones from China as I had no idea what kind of oil it was cooked in. Making my own would be nicer ;).

I also have the black market pepper corn too.

We get wasabi peas for $4.99 a L.B. they are awesome. Freshco as a good Indian Hot snack mix in a bag, great stuff.

So I ended up at Bulk Barn again (as I happened to be on Memorial Ave.) and bought a bag of wasabi peas as big as my head.
Brought the bag to work and BOOM! like Eleanor it was "gone in 60 seconds" (see what I did there? clever!)

Mmmm... chili nuts. One of my favourite early evening bars in Bangkok (The Londoner in soi 33) does them, homemade with chili and green onion, plenty of salt.

Just discovered that Wasabi Peas are great snack for working graveyard shifts, when the coffee isn't doing the job, those Wasabi Peas do a flying, reverse roundhouse kick to my tired brain.
