Was there a UK version of the Senator?

I'm currently looking at acquiring a razor that for all intent and purpose looks like a Gillette Senator but has BRIT PAT NO: 400621 and Made in England under the plate. The box also has Made in England on it although I don't know if the box matches the razor.

Any ideas?

Great question, and I was wondering the same myself. However, you likely just raised the price that you'll need to pay should you decide that you really want it.

Asking advice regarding current ebay auctions will attract a lot of friends wanting to take a look.....
