Walmart Pulling Traditional Shave Supplies?

I'd noted in another post a few days ago that the local Walmart was changing some shave items apparently for the better with such things as Creamo,Stetson AS etc.
This evening while returning from a family event SWMBO needed to stop at the local Wallyworld for a few items and since I was running low on my Nivea AS balm I headed over to the shave supplies.
The shavepocolypse had hit Wallyworld, the freshly stocked Creamo was gone(a good number of tubes last week and I'm pretty sure Creamo ain't that good a mover),the Wilkinson Sword DE and Atra carts along with other "cheaper" carts gone with the remaining refills all in a newly installed fully stocked lock display
All the Barbasol gone replaced with the new AXE and Dove For Men shaving washes and balms.
It looked like about 95% P&G/Gillette representation now at Wallyworld.
Guess my local shave needs are the Meijers and the Bed Bath & Beyond with the Harmon's in it.

Hmmmm... The WallyWorld here still has all the new goodies last I checked. Now you're making me nervous, I bought some stuff to PIF to a member, and didn't get anything for myself. I'm gonna have to go see if they have junked the idea.

I picked up some wilkenson sword blades today but my local wally mart did seem to be in the middle of changing their grooming supplies. I couldn't find my chosen hair paste.

Just left Wally World. There was no Clubman, Aqua Velva, actually liternally no aftershave. The did have Brute and Old Spice. I also noticed that Axe now makes razors I guess with Shick. They did still have the Van Der hagen set along with the soap. They also have the shea moisture cream and soap and I even picked up some of their tea tree herbal bump preventer to try out for my skin since I'm out of town and left my unrefined shea butter at home.

As of Friday the one by me still had Wilkinson Sword blades, but they were in the process of re arranging everything. I just checked the website, and Personna and Wilkinson Sword blades are still on there.

Like other stores, they sometimes have customer survey information on their receipts. That's probably a good way to let them know your displeasure.

What surprised me was the fact that they just did a full restock last week and a week later pulled it all out.
Fortunately the local Meijers still carries the Nivea ASB and I'm planning a Merz run in the next week or two.

Was just there...did not see this...they had at least 3 brush/bowl sets and 3 pucks of VDH Deluxe.

I'm going to look at another one this week.

I imagine that there are store-to-store variations in what is stocked, given what moves at each store.

I got a Walmart flyer with the Sunday paper today and they are really advertising all the Axe shaving supplies so I assume they just entered into an agreement with Axe to push their stuff.

I swung by a Walmart today and almost all traditional supplies are gone. Only thing remaining was a few lonely pucks of Williams, a couple Wilkie brushes and a couple tubs of wilkie soap. Not a single blade was found, and the employee looked at me like I was crazy, asking for "real" razor blades when there was clearly an entire isle of overpriced cartridges right there.

I went on a tear trying to find a cheapo brush a couple weeks ago. I went to two different Wal-Marts, and they were both all out. A woman who was stocking the shelves told me they are no longer carrying the brushes. I did still see shaving soap at both stores, which is funny 'cause you can't use one without the other...

I was just there... Still have shave secret, DE blades, aqua velva blue, etc etc.

I couldn't find the shave secret at first and was told by an employee they are just rearranging right now, so I'm not sure if they will stop carrying that stuff or just trying to redo displays or layouts.

I was at my local today and they had VHD puck, no Williams. They also had Wilkinson sword blades. Shave secret. All the old standard Aftershaves, but also Cremo, Shea Butter multi purpose soap and stuff, and 3 products by Jack whatschamacallit, Stetons AS in the glass bottle, and Nivea and Nutrogena, Barbasol.

No VDH shave set though. The only place I saw the VDH Deluxe shave set was Rite Aid. Couple of places had the soap. One had the VDH brush by itself.

My local Wally World had all the regular VDH on display. There's another in a more urban area I'm going to check to see if they have any discounted stuff.
