Wallets with Coin Purse?

Does anyone here use a wallet with a built in coin purse/pocket? Can you recommend any particular model and manufacturer?

Thanks.

I'd love to have a simple, folding, credit-card size wallet. Side 1: Room for 2 credit cards and an open pocket (without bellows) under those. Side 2: Coin purse with small bellows and either zipper or magnetic flap. Leather, simple and nice. For nightclubs.

It's rather rare to have even full size wallets with coin pockets nowadays. That's ironic, as, in EU, we have now more coins than before.

Fridays are Fishtastic!
I will keep an eye on this. I don't carry a wallet, but a leather thing like a money clip with slots for credit cards. My coins are loose in the pocket, which I am finding annoying with khakis. I need a coin purse that doesn't say "I am a coin purse", if you know what I mean.

I've been thinking about getting one too since I carry a coin purse and a wallet, both. Then along with my phone I got my pockets full. Wallet Gear has a wide selection of them at http://www.walletgear.com/wallets-leather-wallets/wallet-with-coin-pocket.html. I am thinking of getting the Osgoode that zips close. I can throw this wallet in my back pocket. I got my leather coin purse at wallet gear and really like it so i hate to have to not use it anymore, but less in my pockets (except money of course) the better.

I currently carry a Visconti Monza which has a coin pouch on the right side. It's not small but I like it.

Thanks for the responses. I wonder why the coin purse/pocket has fallen out of fashion in wallets, especially when dollar denomination coins are popular in Europe, the UK, and Canada, and the pocket can accommodate all sorts of other useful gear. Having said that, I noticed that Tumi and Launer have coin wallets.

My guess is the less bulky wallets have become much more popular so manufacturers don't bother with the "underselling" larger wallets with coin purses. Also, it seems more and more people are using credit/debit cards and don't even use cash.

When I was much younger I am pretty sure you couldn't even find a wallet without a coin purse!

I have never had a wallet in my life! Had a coin purse for most of it though. Notes just go in the back pocket. Without the coin purse, coins go down the backs of seats...

For me, they are just way too damn thick. I like a single or thin double card holder. I never have coins anyway, plastic is the name of the game these days.

I've always had a coin purse in my wallets, and there is no way I'll be doing it again, for 2 reasons.

1. they are always gonna be damn bulky
2. Carrying coin like that in a leather wallet has always resulted in the wallet taking a beating over time. In my experience they always eventually lose their shape and look wrecked.

Guess its just one of those things there's no answer to. I'll go out and buy a clip/cards style wallet and soon enough I'll be winging about the coins in my pocket.

I keep about $10 worth of quarters in a pouch in my glove box for parking meters.

I would not want to carry it in my pockets though.

I'm missing the need here to carry so much change around.

Here in the UK, we have £2 coins (about $3.19). The smallest note is £5. We have a lot of coins!

Since I've owned a wallet from a very young age, I've been fond of the change pouch built into the wallet as I don't have a pocket full of loose change to lose everywhere. I've always had a hard time finding them too, usually only see them at flea markets...

I used to use them, but if I carried it in my back pocket the coins will put pressure on and bend my cards, and I found them too bulky to carry in a front pocket (insert "...are you just please to see me?" joke here...)

I like All-ett's slimline wallets. I carry one for notes and cards in one pocket and coin pouch in another.
They do one with a coin pocket

I have the Comme Des Garcon Deluxe Wallet in Black. It might be a little bit too young for most of the styles on here, but the coin pocket is brilliant. I love the wallet despite it being quite big. I've considered passing it on to my girlfriend and grabbing something similar but a little smaller.

I have found that some of the best wallets are hiding at the discounters (Marshall's, Ross, etc.) I have seen wallets there with built in coin pockets. Of course it is hit or miss at these places though.
